Analyst, Power & Sustainability Investment Banking
Position Description
PEP is seeking a highly motivated individual for an Analyst or Senior Analyst position on the Sustainability & Power team within its Investment Banking business.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of, or strong interest in, the sustainability, energy transition, or power industries; be comfortable interacting directly with clients; and possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. This individual should be entrepreneurial and attracted to the opportunity to help drive the success of a growing firm.
Only candidates with relevant experience in Investment Banking, Research, or Energy Transition will be considered.

Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze the financial needs of corporate clients, including the development of financial models and due diligence
- Perform financial and written analysis of companies and industries, including valuation models, pro forma financial statements, and comparable company analysis
- Prepare marketing materials and presentations
- Support client pitch and deal execution efforts
- Participate in drafting prospectuses and marketing presentations for transactions
- Prepare client presentations, including compiling data and presentation materials
- Participate in all stages of transaction execution, from pitch through closing
- Interact with senior management, PEP team members, other internal divisions, and internal and external legal counsel
- Utilize necessary information systems for analysis and reporting
- Location: In-person in Houston (remote option may be discussed on a case-by-case basis)
Specific Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly
- Energetic, self-motivated, and able to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines, sometimes for extended periods
- Consistently delivers exceptional results and strong ideas, both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple project streams simultaneously
- FINRA licensing: SIE, Series 63, Series 79, or willingness to obtain
